In our society, we are taught that our value comes from producing, “doing,” and providing for others. Thus, most of us have a hard time stopping and taking time for ourselves and just “being.” What we don’t always fully realize is that if we don’t take time to fill up our tanks with activities that nurture us and make us feel good in both the short and long run, we won’t have anything to give to others, nor will we have the creativity, energy, or “juice” to produce amazing things in our lives. Self-care is a way of loving ourselves and rebuilding our mental and physical resources so that we can give love to others and fully contribute our greatest gifts to the world.

Once we decide to make self-care a priority in our lives, the next question is “how?”

In this day and age, for the majority of us, finding ways to balance our demanding lives, make time in our busy schedules, and develop the best manner in which to take care of ourselves can feel nearly impossible. Having been a single, working mother of two, and now as a married woman running multiple businesses, the journey toward wellness has been quite a challenge for me as well, so I know what you are going through!

Over the years, I have developed my own holistic way of taking care of myself from the inside out, effectively creating a lifestyle of wellness through nutrition, exercise, sleep, and surrounding myself with like-minded people.
